A Fabulous Four Days

I'm not even sure where to start! I feel so wonderful at the moment and I have so much to report. This is the first chance I've had to sit alone and have a little down time since Wednesday afternoon. BUT it was all good good good! I'm going to jump around about the past 4 days because first I want to give a big birthday shout- out to Kevin's mom Linda. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA!!!!!

The birthday girl at dinner.

I just love and adore her because she is such a fun, generous, kind, and gracious woman. I am so fortunate to have a boyfriend with a FANTASTIC mother. Last night we went with some of their family to Tony's on the Pier in Redondo Beach. We drank some wine, ate a ton of delicious food, and celebrated the night away. It was a great evening.

A woman after my own heart- we love our wine!

Make a wish!

We had such a memorable night and I'm thankful I was able to be a part of it. Thank you!

Another birthday shout-out I want to give is to my old co-worker Keri, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KERI! We went to a couple bars on Abbot Kinney in Venice Friday night to celebrate... good times were had there too. Can't wait to do it again soon (and yes dancing was involved).

Kevin showed up tooooo!

Then back to Thursday... one of my best friends from middle school (yes we've known each other 17 years now ah) came into town from New York and we spent the day biking, eating In-N-Out, and then that night got a good Shuffle Board game going on with Kevin and another friend. Happy I got to spend some time with you Grahamy!

Finally, today was a huge day for me. I worked REALLY REALLY hard the past 2 years in grad school and maintained a 4.0 the entire time. I qualified and was accepted into the International Honor Society in Education- Kappa Delta Pi, which only accepts the top 10% of the graduating class (you need a high GPA, a faculty recommendation and a few other little details to qualify). This afternoon was the initiation ceremony! It was a proud moment I have to say, but more than anything I was so incredibly thankful to have my parents AND my significant other in attendance; I was the only person I knew or saw who had all three there for support. I couldn't feel more grateful at the moment to have these amazing people in my life, I honestly would not have made it through grad school without my Papa, Momma, and Kevin. Thank you for coming today and for EVERYTHING you do/put up with.

Lunch before the ceremony

Love you so much

Now I'm just having a nice evening full of relaxation... getting ready for another busy week. Hope everyone had great weekends too! XOXO
